Paytm Tap to Pay:
Paytm offers different methods to making payments, and the company added support for a tap-to-pay feature to make bank card payments with their Android smartphones. The feature works same as we have in Samsung Pay and Google Pay, allowing users to make purchases at point-of-sale (PoS) machines via NFC. Payments can be made without having to carry debit or credit cards. iPhone owners cannot use the feature as NFC payments are blocked in Apple Pay, which has yet to be rolled out in India.
NFC Payment Benefits:
Tap to Pay functionality on NFC can be used in retail points of sale, restaurants, grocery stores and any other location that accepts payment machines by NFC card. Users will have to add their bank cards to the PAYTM Android App, in which the card is “tokenized” so that it can be used on all types of payment machines. Using Tap to Pay feature offers the convenience of not carrying bank cards, another advantage is that the originating card details are not shared with a merchant when performing a transaction.
